Costa Blanca Campoamor

Description

Dehesa de Campoamor is a lovely town that belongs to Orihuela Costa, located on the Costa Blanca, which is also part of the province of Alicante. The origin of its name, as the name itself says, was a massive pasture that was owned by the Spanish poet and dramaturge Ramón de Campoamor, well known in his time for a great number of essays, plays and poems.

Yatch Club Campoamor Campoamor Port Campoamor has an important golf club, the Real Club de Golf Campoamor Resort, known internationally for its playing surface maintained under the highest quality standards, for the micro-climate created between its two interconnected valleys, and the hills that protect its 18 holes allowing the practice of this sport at any time of the year. However, Campoamor not only offers services for golf lovers, but also numerous services for watersports and maritime sports enthusiasts. On Campoamor Beach, as far as kiosks and restaurants serving Mediterranean and international cuisine are concerned, there is also a small port with more than 300 moorings, which also gives visitors the chance to do activities such as parasailing, rent jet skis for the more adventurous, or sign up for sailing or windsurfing courses in the immediate surroundings.

Something that characterises Campoamor very notably is that it has its own urbanistic personality, so that you can see high buildings of flats with sea views, but also residential neighbourhoods with large villas, for buyers and investors to choose from. It was in the 60's and 70's, when it underwent its greatest urban expansion, that most of the buildings that are now concentrated in the highest part of the town, known as "Barranco Rubio", began to be built. In fact, there is a lift which was built at that time and which is still used today to go down the beach or up from it.

On the other hand, its orography is not flat and it has not only one cliff but several of them, which still conserve leafy forests of centenary Mediterranean pines, and give this beautiful town a rural aspect. For that reason, you can also enjoy open-air sports or relaxing walks in the green areas.

Glea Beach Campoamor Nowadays, it has more than 1500 miles of coastline, with three of the best beaches on the Valencian Coast, of fine white sand; Playa de Campoamor, Playa de la Glea and Playa de Aguamarina. The three of them fly the blue flag and are distinguished with the Q of quality and the most outstanding is the beach of La Glea, being the one that receives most visitors annually due to its proximity to the micro natural reserve known as "Punta de Glea".

As for commercial activity, Campoamor has numerous supermarkets, bazaars, pharmacies, butchers, fashion shops, furniture and decoration shops, etc. However, for shopping lovers, the La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre is a strategic point to do all your shopping together, as it has hundreds of shops, including fashion, technology, libraries, drugstores, etc., and it is only 10 minutes away driving.

Campoamor is also very well connected by public transport, with bus routes to neighbouring coastal towns and cities like Torrevieja, Alicante or Murcia.
